Our History
Our gastroenterology practice in Berlin-Charlottenburg has a long-standing history. Founded in the 1950s, the practice has been continuously developed and modernized over the decades. In 2012, Dr. Weiß joined the practice and played a key role in establishing its focus on endoscopy and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). In 2015, Dr. Schartmann joined the team, further strengthening the practice. With Dr. Lissner joining in 2026, the practice continues to expand its expertise in these specialized areas. The combination of decades of experience, state-of-the-art medical care, and a dedicated team provides the foundation for delivering high-quality, compassionate gastroenterological care to patients in Berlin-Charlottenburg.
Quality & Certifications
We maintain the highest professional standards through the continuous education and training of our entire practice team. Our work is guided by the current clinical guidelines of the relevant medical societies, and we collaborate closely with surrounding hospitals and referring physicians. For example, we are a network partner in the Ambulatory Specialized Medical Care (ASV) program for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Our practice also operates a comprehensive internal quality management system.
