Preventive care and screening
Treating internal medical conditions is our profession. However, many diseases can be prevented through targeted measures, cured through early detection, or slowed in their progression through effective care. Therefore, preventive care is important to us.
The following preventive care services are available in our practice and are covered by public health insurance:
- General health check-up every three years starting at age 35
- Prostate cancer screening for men annually starting at age 45
- Colorectal cancer screening (colonoscopy) starting at age 50 for men and women
- Skin cancer screening every two years starting at age 35
- Early detection of aortic aneurysms (screening for enlargement of the main artery) starting at age 65
In addition, we offer extended cardiovascular screening (exercise ECG and specialist cardiac ultrasound, as well as ultrasound of the neck and leg arteries) for privately insured patients and self-payers.
